i also discovered something if you replace the m4's model and texture with the m14s. in the new 'assault' package change the lens.png with a scope and it almost works. some of the scopemountv.png interferes, which could be fixed if edited.

Have an imaginary friend on the forums; who's comments we cannot see?

RE: ACOG scope! - Daleth - 2012-11-23

I believe this ACOG scope would actually be possible if the image surround the scope was blurred. I have some thoughts on how to actually implement this on the coding level. No promises but I will look into it.

RE: ACOG scope! - Victor - 2012-11-23

If even CryEngine 3 cannot do differing zoom levels, what makes you think that we can do differing blur levels?

RE: ACOG scope! - Daleth - 2012-11-24

I have a few ideas. Once I determine how to do them I will post. Also I don't think it is something to worry about to much as long as the zoom is minimal.

RE: ACOG scope! - Nightmare - 2012-11-24

Dude, if a major game can't do it, then how do you expect ACR a 65MB game to do it, it's not possible. END OF STORY.

RE: ACOG scope! - Padge1 - 2013-01-28

its possible, but it all depends on what weapon you wish to have it with, you will have a scope and the like just not really any zoom apart from the default iron sight focus, i have a walther red dot moddeled onto an m4 model i was using in the game before the 2.5.6 release, ill make a better one and keep you guys up to speed if anyone is still interested.

I have an idea but idk if i can explain it to you you right.Firstly you all have noticed that after spawning your weapon is transparent.Maybe there's a way you can make the scope middle face transparent too?
