RE: New sound pack!!! - Victor - 2013-04-15 The package, if you read my guide, is supposed to give you everything in a sub-folder, with the mod's name, under a folder called "mods" and a convenience .bat file. RE: New sound pack!!! - DeltaStrikeOp - 2013-04-16 EDIT: Actually, I've found that the soundpack places a strain on my laptop. O.O When I run original ACR w/o sound pack, i don't lag. When I run the modified ACR with sound pack, I'm lagging A LOT. =/ Hopefully I'm the only guy who has this case. RE: New sound pack!!! - rXn - 2013-05-01 As I understand it the new soundpack is still .wav-auido. .wav is much bigger as .ogg, so if every shot has to load about, let me see, some megabytes from your harddisk, it simply has to lag. Try to have a look at your harddisk lamp, if it is flickering when shooting, you will have the answer. Btw: I am sorry if I repeat an older idea, but what about a constant background music in ACR (like for example in the original Cube/Cube2)? It should not be more than 5 lines of code and I think there are some free-time artists that would understand spending their music as a free advertisement ![]() If there is noone else I can bake some loops, too. Just an idea. RE: New sound pack!!! - Victor - 2013-05-01 You can just make a script to get infinite music. RE: New sound pack!!! - DeltaStrikeOp - 2013-05-01 Thank you for your explanation rXn! I guess it really is just me then. But I do like these sounds. Hopefully I can find a way to compress them so that I can use them. The Assault Rifle sounds the same, but the SMG/AK sounds are beefier. The Sniper bolt action, however isn't loud enough RE: New sound pack!!! - rXn - 2013-05-02 If you have Vlc Media Player: "Media"->"Convert/Save"->"Add"-Button->Add a file->"Convert/Save"->Select destination (e.g. <oldname>.ogg)->Select "Audio - Vorbis(OGG)"->"Start" If you don't, you'll miss something ![]() Then upload it here so I don't have to do it myself ![]() RE: New sound pack!!! - -{ET}-xdEpicZombie - 2013-05-02 Im going to do it in a few hours i guess! |
