Bluwarg uses misfit Smile I don't recommend misfit but he's really good with it

RE: 3D modelling - {KE}ShadowWolf - 2014-08-29

One more question how do i start modelling weapons for acr or ac 1.2

RE: 3D modelling - Fru5tum - 2014-08-30

Well first get to know your program, I use blender and it's not real tough to understand, so when you understand it, you model your weapon
-Find a picture of the weapon
-put the picture as a background in blender (front veiw)
-start on a certain piece of the gun (I like to start from the handle or the rail (if it has a rail)
-finish modeling the gun
-export to Misfit modeler ( export from blender as .obj , then open it in misfit )
-animate in Misfit (that's more trouble for me to do as I suck at animating)
-export from misfit as .md3
-find the weapon folder in the ACR/packages/weapons/ (weapon name) (weapon name being the gun your model is suppose to replace)
-find md3.txt
- replace animation frames and/or tags if you need to,
You can also edit what file it read from, so if your gun is a replacement to the ak47
In md3.txt it will say Read AK47.md3 you can change this to the name of your md3 model or you can rename your md3 model to ak47 (or whatever it is m16,RPG etc)
-Close md3.txt
-load up game
-make sure the model is in the right location (there's no texture on it yet so you might need to look hard)
-if it's not in the right place u need to go back in blender and move the model to where u think it should be then export again to obj then misfit then md3
-once the model is in the right place you can texture each piece you modeled in misfit and using external UV Unmap tools
-once again to need to export to md3 and edit md3.txt to get your texture files Smile
-once it's good in ACR it's automatically able to be used in AC 1.2
Have Fun!
I know that's a lot but most of it goes by in a few months (im joking) lol you can finish your first model in about a week or 2
If I can judge your confidence well.
Hope this Helps Smile Good Luck Smile

Umm can you make a video for me to watch and see what you mean?

RE: 3D modelling - Fru5tum - 2014-09-03

Yea sure Smile

RE: 3D modelling - Fru5tum - 2014-09-26

Sorry I'm doing my best with the video but I really don't think it should continue simply because the amount of time it'll take is absurb

RE: 3D modelling - Fru5tum - 2014-12-02
