Got a new desktop
I just got a new desktop this week and I figured I'd share the specs. I will use it for optimizing multi-monitor ACR and owning at ACR Tongue

Nice!

I read that Intel 4th gen CPUs aren't really an improvement from 3rd gen if you're on desktop, and you even have to have a different motherboard. What influenced you to get 4th gen besides having the best of the best?

Intel might continue to use the socket for future processors so I wanted to have a slightly more future proofed. It is also a 8-10% improvement for not that much more money.

There is no proof of it that I know of. All I know is that they tend to way outperform the competition at the high end and faster processor can really speed up code compilation which can take up a lot of time.
