True, there is the problem of having to break your cheek weld when racking the bolt on a bullpup, but the accuracy improvements associated with a bullpup IMO outweigh the disadvantages. As you can see in the DTA SRS Covert, the sniper rifle can be shorter than an MP5, giving you better maneuverability in MOUT/CQB operations.
I guess one of the reasons why the M24/M700 is used so widely is partly because of the fact that the cost is relatively low. You can get a M700 for about 800 bucks last time I checked. With that, you can get 400+ meters effective range. This is more economical than spending almost 2 thousand on a similar performing semi-auto 7.62 AR-10, and that's without optics. DSO
