At least the crossbow is more realistic than throwing knives... The crossbow would be more useful at managing bots since you can pick up used bolts. Also, extra ammo boxes would continue to add bolts (maybe up to 50 bolts) so you can have a large supply of bolts making it more effective for survival modes. Also when you kill an enemy (or zombie) with a crossbow, they won't explode which is a big deal.
