RE: NEW SERVER OPEN! I love this game, if only there were players online.
I see three servers : the mine, the victor's one and a server that doesn't repond, probably the yours.
This is a common problem. To fix it, you need to set your router (it can have an other name) to make your server reachable from internet. It's like in any client-server communication. The server wait a client send it a request. When it receive a receive a request, the server process it and, most time, respond to the client. However, most time, there are routers. They allow local computers to interact with internet. When a client send a request from the local network to a distant server, the router is able to recognise the server response and send it to the correct computer of the local network. When a distant client try to send a request to a server that is on the local network, it's different. If the local router isn't corretly set (the default settings can't be correct), it doesn't know to what computer of the local network send it. To be used, your server need to be reachable via the protocol UDP on two ports. By default, these ports are 28770 and 28771 but it can be changed. They was confident : "Only some thousands of bricks, and it will look like something !"
More a community is little, more the "others will do it" way to think is dangerous for it. |
