Remington 700 (M24A2) vs the DTA SRS
i saw something bout these two and thought they were great rivals when im done with m14 (very soon ) mind u i will start on whichever gun wins this

LOLOL dude, i suggested the DTA SRS a long time ago, before it was ever in a video game as far as i know. LOL, my days as a noob asking for a lot of weapon models. ^_^

The DTA SRS should be very interesting for ACR. In reality, it should actually be the DTA HTI rifle, since it fires bigger caliber rounds, which would explain why it is more powerful than the M107. It is a bit bigger though, and I don't think there are many exterior differences, so an SRS wouldn't be bad!

If you make the SRS, i suggest making the Covert version of it, because it will save you a lot of time since it is very small.

Also, the M21 is semiautomatic, while the M24 and DTA SRS are bolt action. So if these are made, these will replace the kinda crummy Chey-Tac Intervention we use.

I like the Ballista, it even comes with a cool reload animation. I would prefer it if we focused on things we need for 2.6 before other stuff. For one, it would be nice to have reload animations for all the weapons:

MP5 : Scorpion Evo 3 (Reload anim)
M1014 : Bluwarguy's Remington 1184 (no reload anim with bead sights)

As for me, I choose the M24 since it is still being used by militaries and police agencies as a sniper weapon all this time which says a lot about its accuracy and reliability. The problem with bullpups is that it becomes hard to quickly rack the bolt to get a follow-up shot compared to a traditional style bolt action. The 338 lapua is ballistically similar to the 50 bmg in soft targets and the Remington 700P can be chambered in it. Finally, a M24 like weapon is much easier to model since it is a really simple design.

True, there is the problem of having to break your cheek weld when racking the bolt on a bullpup, but the accuracy improvements associated with a bullpup IMO outweigh the disadvantages. As you can see in the DTA SRS Covert, the sniper rifle can be shorter than an MP5, giving you better maneuverability in MOUT/CQB operations.

I guess one of the reasons why the M24/M700 is used so widely is partly because of the fact that the cost is relatively low. You can get a M700 for about 800 bucks last time I checked. With that, you can get 400+ meters effective range. This is more economical than spending almost 2 thousand on a similar performing semi-auto 7.62 AR-10, and that's without optics.

ill be honest i dont like my dragunov very much, but the svu would be better if i had different textures on it. the smaw would be a bit hard to do an animation for tbh, and i could make a syringe.

i could also make a pauza p-50 (MASSIVE) as a .50 semi auto. it wasnt used in the military tho, so i could make a barrett with reload anim.
