RE: [Future] 2.7/2.6.3
I have some time in between jobs to work on this now. Is there any specific features/bug fixes people want the most? Please respond here with requests(to anyone).

RE: [Future] 2.7/2.6.3
Hey guys and ruler501 I had few suggestion that I would find great to have in ACR. I am a AC player and I still play AC but some major features like different maps and better map editor in ACR can make a big difference.
Second thing would be to create a platform for players to go and download different skins, maps and map models. Example: ac-akimbo provides a platform for AC, on which players can post and download lots of different things.
Thirdly if you make a platform like ac-akimbo than add the servers/website to pcksources.cfg in the next ACR version, so map editors can upload and download files and the textures can automatically be downloaded to the map.
Fourthly please make and give resources which ACR players could use to customize their ACR. Examples: players skins, new map models and may even customize the engine to help editors give more features.

Hope you like my suggestion and if possible than please add them to next ACR version. Thank you for reading and for your time Big Grin

RE: [Future] 2.7/2.6.3
Unfortunately I'm not adept at making maps or models. If you have specific things to change about the map editor I could work on that.

I believe we have something like that(hopefully asmanel remembers it and comes and posts here). We are also working on a mod manager that will launch the game, keep it updated and stuff like that.

I think with the mod manager we wouldn't need direct integration in the game, just into the manager. I can talk to rXn about having a uploads from the manager though

There are some of these in the forums. And again I'm not good at creating this kind of content so I won't be able to help much with this.

RE: [Future] 2.7/2.6.3
That is Ok with me. It will be great if you can add some things in the Map editor.

It will be great if you can make a new/separate menu for addming things like map models, custome textures and even for commands.

Commands:
Make a new category in the Esc menu (not in the main menu) called "Commands". In this category have all the commands list which people can use. Example: people can go Esc > Commands > kick (and now there should be the "/kick" text in the chat. Also make other commands appear in the chat at the bottom of the screen, when players select a command.
Make other commands also appear in the "Commands" category.

Editing commands:
I would all the editing commands to appear in this category. Only add this category in the editing menu, so when people select a editing command, than the text will appear in the bottom chat.

Hope you like my ideas. Any question or problems just reply back and we will discuss it.

@{KK}Waleed, isn't there already a menu to select a player and vote to kick him?

{KK}Waleed Wrote:I am a AC player and I still play AC but some major features like different maps and better map editor in ACR can make a big difference.

There are several improvement ideas on the wiki. I think the selection system from AC 1.2 (any number of rectangles intead of only one rectangle) is based on one of these ideas.

ACR already have an akimbo-like forum, even if download content of this site from the game remain impossible.

A long time ago, in this old thread, I suggested make the game download any missing data and not only the map files (cfg and cgz files) but Victor denied the idea.

AC 1.2 as released seven month later and, by its new features, there was somethin very similar to this suggestion

I'm not sure to understand. What do you mean more exactly ?

The answer is in the file menus_multiplayer.cfg

To find this menu at mavigating in the menus, you need to uncomment first the line 27 of this file.

You also can reach this menu via the console, at typing in /showmenu kick/ban

RE: [Future] 2.7/2.6.3
Hey all. Thanks a lot for your comment asmanel. I learnt new things from your comments but i also had some exceptions.

For the "commands" menu i wanted ACR to add all the commands, not just the kick and ban but also all the other commands like:
-General commands (like: kicking/banning people)
-Mapping command (like: /sendmap, /newent mapmodel, /waterlevels and etc.)
-Admin commands

This is what mean to say the first time. Sorry for any miss understanding. Any more question just comment below and I will soon reply back Big Grin

Thank you

RE: [Future] 2.7/2.6.3
I think the launcher/mod manager being developed by @rXn and @ruler501 will have a feature to download packages/update from a server. For security purposes, there should be a setting letting the user select which servers to use, in case a server is hijacked or becomes untrusted.

It looks like AC 1.2 hid the kick/ban menu, but I never noticed, because I always used /kick and /ban by typing them. Should ACR bring this menu back?

All of the commands are already listed in different categories at [Esc] > Help > ACR Reference.

Best regards,
Victor
