Smile  The New Menu Concept
Well here it is the new menu concept:

Menu Explanation:
Loadout- Basically your class you choose your guns/perks in here
Change Sides- where you choose to change to the other team and spectate
Vote- Vote is every thing related to it(Vote a map,Vote to kick,ect..)
Main Menu- same feature as current
Browse Servers- Same feature as current
Leave game- Exit out of the game

Some of the menu options open new menu(Menu options 1-4),The 5th option just gives you a prompt saying "Are you sure you wanna leave the game?"

Once a menu option is selected the selection bar will turn white and the letters turn black,and then you will be guided to a new menu.

At the bottom Right corner You will see the server info in a scrolling text effect.

As for some suggestions:

1.Change the name of this game.(Make it unrelated to "Assault Cube")
2.Allow for bump mapping effects and a new water shader.
3.Use different textures.
4.New player models.(That means new HUD Hands as well.)
5.Ragdoll effects (Optional, not really necessary.)
6.improved lighting system.
7.First person legs.
8.camo on weapon based on skymap [(Already mentioned this before just adding it to the list.)Will attempt myself to make some camo's soon.]
9.A FLASHLIGHT! would be nice in the darker maps.
10.ON the loadout screen each player can also choose what kind of soldier they want to be [(Assault,Medic,ect.)Think of Battlefield.]
11.Since each player can choose what kind of soldier they want to be that will eliminate the use of pickups ents while mapping.
12.Mod the engine so that you can edit the walls.(Draw cubes from then,ect.)
13.Make it so that you can heightfield the floor and ceiling at the same cube with different values.

Now I ask these suggestions ,because This game is supposed to be a mod of ac not a clone. Look at the original cube verses ac, and you'll see allot of differences. That's why allot of people hate this game because it still looks and feels like ac.

EDIT: Almost forgot 14. The ability to go prone.

Well i just made the image(not a actual mod).Victor told me to post it in the forums along with the rest of my sudgestions. Some thing like this shouldn't be hard to implement.

You should post most ideas to the IdeaTorrent (Suggestions at the forum's top bar), unless it is too large (like the menu idea).
I might move the suggestions to Google Code in the future...

Most of the suggestions will simply not work.
If it is COD-style motion blur, it wastes too many resources. Does AssaultCube use motion blur?

  1. "AssaultCube Reloaded" has "AssaultCube" in it, which has "Cube" in it.
  2. Bump mapping might not be good for older computers, a new water shader could be done
  3. (This is not a priority, since the textures don't have many issues)
  4. The player models are fine, but the HUD hands might need to be replaced.
  5. The animation system doesn't this (no bones, just vertex-based)
  6. The lighting is cheaper with cylinders
  7. This would increase the package size (we want to keep it small)
  8. 1st person legs is possible, but we don't have any good animations/models
  9. A flashlight won't work with cylindrical lights
  10. You should see the next version first.
  11. This would mean dropping weapons instead of the pickup entities.
  12. If this were possible, the engine would have been Cube 2, not AssaultCube 1.0.4.
  13. Each cube has 1 "vdelta", and would make every current map unplayable[ if another were to be added
    On second thought, we have 2 reserved uchars. One of them could be used for the second vdelta. This would make more sense to have 1 vdelta for the floor and one for the ceiling, not one for either and one for the other.
  14. No prone animations

Be sure to create 1 issue for each item suggested, as 1 big issue won't be that good.
