It is possible, but this is why not:
It actually incurs a huge database cost, which is probably why native MyBB didn't do it. It takes O(n) time to get the list of users who like a post, which is fine, but takes more processing time. Does the AC Forum actually have Like/Thank buttons? Best regards,
