RE: I can not run ACED
Are you trying to replace the Assault Cube files with the Assault Cube Reloaded files? Because if that's what youre doing, it wont work. The games are not dependent on each other. You can have both at the same time without interferance.

the only one modified file is assaultcube.bat from the original AC which content is:

bin_win32\ac_client.exe --home="?MYDOCUMENTS?\AssaultCube_v1.1" --init %1 %2 %3 %4 %5
pause

i put that on client.bat from ac reloaded which content is:
bin_win32\ac_client.exe --home="home" --init %*

thus leaving this file(client.bat) like that:

bin_win32\ac_client.exe --home="?MYDOCUMENTS?\AssaultCube_v1.1.1" --init %*
pause

i create a new folder on my documents & i named it:
AssaultCube_v1.1.1
well nothing happen,
hey good news!
i try to run ac reloaded on linux, guess what?
its work!
well... i ran ac reloaded using WINE & works fine... just one detail
when i change the window to another using alt + tab, the game is closed & i dont know why...
well tnks all of you guys...
cya!

RE: I can not run ACED
lol weird xD
what i did was simple: i duplicated the original ac folder(C:\Program Files(x86)\AssaultCube_v1.1.0.4 ) and renamed it; copy and replace the files i downloaded from ACSE; run client.bat; and boom my computer blows up
lol jk the game works fine.

RE: I can not run ACED
you dont even have to make a new folder. just extract the files to wherever and run the client.bat

RE: I can not run ACED
I think it might work better if you recompile it without compiler optimizations.

Maybe also install OpenAL? Then rename bin_win32/openal32.dll.

RE: I can not run ACED
I'm glad my clan mate (Illuminatiox) have got the problem solved (partially but ok xD).

In case you want to try it on windows, the problem code probably refers to an error with DEP (Data Execution Prevention) of Windows. Hence, just exclude the .exe from being monitored and that should solve the problem. Of course, also thinks on upgrade your DX (dxdiag) and other stuff of your PC.

Anyway, Victorz should remark that is not a problem of the game itself but it depends on the OS (this time was windows). It can even be a problem due to broken RAM.

GGz!

RE: I can not run ACED
I compiled this mod with high optimization (saves CPU cycles), but the original AC did not. Therefore it may cause some problems, but I didn't expect any to occur.
