RE: Port to Cube2
Even I cannot be a permanent developer. But I can be a permanent founder...
You can always join the dev team, help for a while, and have your name recognized on the team list (forever). Best regards,

RE: Port to Cube2
I can apply some patches to your svn if you give me access, but it's better if you apply patch yourself: I worked with github only and have no experience with svn.

RE: Port to Cube2
You could be listed there, as an "Editor" without SVN access. Then I can apply patches and put your name in the commit message.

RE: Port to Cube2
How much charge we are talking about with Cube2? Most important, it's worth it? I mean, Cube2 has better registration and stuff for the servers (and players) to make it worth a little more usage of resources?

RE: Port to Cube2
Cube 2 may even use less resources if your maps and mapmodels will be low-poly. Maps in Red Eclipse overcrowded by polygons so it too slow. Make less open maps for better occlusion, less polys on mapmodels and players, LOD, and Cube 2 will be very fast! Look at map douze in Cube 2 (I have 200 fps there).
Also cube 2 has cool editor, supports VBO, md5 and more modern stuff. |
