Yeah, nobody does care except for AC's nitpickers. You know, they wouldnt even know that those are Valve's hands unless they downloaded ACR and played it/fooled around with it.

But yeah, I did suggest the Mechanix Wear M-Pact gloves to be an alternate texture for the hands. It is a very good glove that I use a lot, with looks to boot! Oakley Flight gloves are very nice, but too damn expensive.
