Another solution is to add a gsp2 mutator to hide the overlay in CTF and have longer intervals in HTF/KTF.
I think in CTF, instant updates should be changed to ~3-5 second intervals, but it should still be instant in HTF/KTF. With a mutator, it can be disabled or 30 second intervals in CTF, and HTF/KTF can have 10 second intervals. Best regards,
