I definitely agree and I don't know why we haven't like, I suggestion a recreation of Cube 1 called Cube Mod which features some of this Directx stuff and honestly better than cube 2 because no one has said anything about a engine change
 I'm working on my own engine so I havnt paid much attention to any others....
