hoo hoo! sweet! The front sight looks a bit out of alignment though? Shouldn't the Front Sight Post be on the rectangular block?

But yeah, all that's left looks like the Fire Control group and its set!

Hey Padge1, could you maybe make the M16A4 a SPR?

The SPR concept is to have essentially a AR-15 with around a 18+ inch barrel and optics.

The SPR could basically be a scoped M16a3 that has the same handling capabilities b/c of the 5.56x45mm NATO rounds.

What are your thoughts? This might spawn a new game mode: Designated Marksman Combat, in which the M21/14 is pitted against the M16A4/SPR.

@Victor and Ruler501, what are your thoughts?

I think this would be an interesting concept because Victor is going to implement the "M21 only" game mode. Essentially, it is pitting 2 teams against each other armed with DMRs. If this M16A4 model were to be tweaked to have optics, it would mean having another DMR for the game mode. This might even expand the game mode to be called "DMR only" mode. The M21/14 could be the hard hitter with more damage and recoil, while the M16A4/SPR would have less damage and recoil for better followup shots. Both would have a scope view in ADS mode.

But yeah, does this sound like a good idea? I know Padge1 is probably gonna have to rebuild his M16A4 if it is implemented (sorry buddy!).

i already have an spr model Tongue its not the greatest, could use a retexture but ill try finishing my left overs when i get this done Tongue sounds like a great idea

I'd be interested to see a gamemode like that. It wouldn't be that hard to implement either if we already had the guns.

Actually, if you read my 2.5.8 planned changes in its changelog, the new mutator was planned for "sniping" + M21 allowed. Since the M21 is allowed, not many will use the M82 or Intervention.

Hm.. Victor, so Sniping in 2.5.8 will have the M21, Barrett, and Intervention?
See, the introduction of the Barrett in Sniping is good, but made the game a bit too easy. For instance, you could literally use the Barrett like a shotgun and rapidly fire it in CQB.

I originally thought that the M21 only mode could be changed to DMR only mode. So in that gamemode, the only firearms you could use were the M21/14 and (if added) the Mk12 SPR. The game would be balanced b/c of the M21/14's 7.62x54mm NATO stopping power (and high recoil) vs. the Mk.12's ergonomics and 5.56x45mm NATO which translates into lighter recoil.

But hey, seems like the idea is gaining momentum. =D

hehehe Wink pretty proud for about a weeks worth of work, done this one my old fashioned way with 3ds max instead of blender, took a while for it to come back to me :L

i have de-saturated the stock,ris and suppressor as they look too blue compared to the receiver Smile also recoloured the part of the rear iron sight that i miss/forgot

Nice model padge1! Er, remember that you only "cock"(charge) a M16 when it has been decocked. In regular combat, you don't ever use the charging handle. The most you would use is the bolt release, and if you pull the charging handle with a magazine in the well, you will still have to hit the bolt catch to send the bolt forward.

So in summary, I think you should remove the charging handle animation and only have the bolt release animation (when the firearm is empty).

That bottom wheel! Just a small detail. The knob you do have is the windage knob.

AND
nice gloves! Oakley's are way too expensive for me. I use Mechanix Wear M-Pact gloves. But I'd get Oakley airmen gloves if i could cuz they look so sick!

Also, LOOK AT THAT FORWARD ASSIST! -jaw drops-
maybe add the animation of slapping the forward assist after you hit the bolt catch. =)
