RE: The FAL
This is a known bug with Milkshape. It mostly crashes becouse the mesh has to big polycount.Heres what You do:always save Your model(not export but save,in milkshape to ms3d file),finish your animations and save again(saving here is important),now make a quake confiq file(It must be in the same directory, with the same name that Your exported file will be),now export Your model to .md3.Even if Milkshape crashes during the export, the funny thing is that it actually exports the model. The saving before exporting is important becouse If You are trying the model ingame and You dont like something about the animations or anything else,You could still open Your model with animations(usually when yhe model has too many polygons and it crashes during the export to md3,You cant import the model also-as I said, saving there is very important)
Hope it helped!! ![]() |

RE: The FAL
Why md3 ? Why not md2 ?

RE: The FAL
Becouse in this case we use md3 files.Quake 2 files are used for mapmodels and playermodels(weapon world models also)
And I dont know if it works to use md2 files as wepon models. ![]() |

RE: The FAL
Huh... I just saw it : there already is an md3 file in this archive.
About the md2 format, there is no incompatibility. I retried today (with the version 2.5.8) something I did several months ago with an other version (I don't remember what one, probably 2.5.6 or 2.5.7) : it was modding at using the hudguns of Cube. Like in the previous try, i worked. They was confident : "Only some thousands of bricks, and it will look like something !"
