ive been deciding on which gun i should make next, and decided people would like a very tacticool and select fire version of the FAL. here is a pic of what the gun looks like IRL:

I dunno, there is enough problems with overpoweredness already with the AK47, maybe this gun can have the same stopping power as the AK47, but have more recoil, and remove the AK47 (the AK has too little recoil for its damage and a full auto gun with a two shot kill is op).

Personally, I dont feel that the AK should be removed, as it is a worthy opponent compared to the M16. And you also get that Democracy vs Communist thing with the 2. Sure, most of us replace the AK with the SCAR skin, but I feel like it should stay that way.

TBH, the FAL really is an oddball, because I dont know what it should be doing. Currently, the AK does a pretty good job giving you high damage per shot, but low RPM, whereas the M16 is great at giving you high RPM, and medium damage per shot.

Addition: I do like the idea of possibly eliminating the AK entirely and replacing it with the FAL. Make sure with @Victor first though, because I think he was one of the people who wanted the AK. Personally, I'm fine with it, because I like the SCAR skin, and the SA58 would give something else to look at from time to time

Maybe it should be semi auto and have a really slow delay time like the carbine in AC (like 1.5 seconds per shot). Then a two shot kill would be ok.

maybe increase AK recoil (m21 recoil perhaps) and give it to the FAL, which would have 39 damage, current AK recoil, the m1014's firing rate, and a 20 round mag size. also, semi auto only or select fire with these stats?

Personally, for realism's sake, I'd say give it select fire. Just give it a higher recoil penalty when used in automatic.

Using the TKOF chart from wikipedia, we can see that the .308 Winchester has a TKOF of 19.6, while the 7.62x39mm Russian has a TKOF of 13.3

Both rifles have recoil forces that go over your shoulder, so recoil is pretty bad for both rifles.

er, im having some trouble with the FAL, its too high poly. but i bet its only because of the rails, which i will remake.

Personally I'm happy with 50 damage and semi auto with a lot of recoil for the FAL. 39 damage is way less than the ak damage, and Taylor KO is bull, 7.62 is a terrible stopper since it is made for barrier penetration, not stopping power. Ak should have somewhat light recoil since it is very heavy and fires an intermediate cartridge.
