I remade one of DSO`s scopes.I made it 4096x4096 p.I must say,some tiny lag occured in the first time scoping.All other ADS`s were without lag.Ofcourse some players may have it differently and I guess 2048x2048 is pretty HD already!

I'm pretty sure you can compress 2048x2048 to under 2mb(I'm not sure I'd have to look into it to be sure).

I'm not sure, might be a photoshop thing. I'm pretty sure that even if I go vector based that there'll be the same pixelation effect

@DeltaStrikeOp, if you go vector-based, there will be no pixelation. The client would just render it once with maximum AA and store the texture in memory.
The only problem is that AC/ACR don't have vector support. Best regards,

If it were vector-based, you'd have to save it as a .png for AC/ACR because it doesn't support .svg files (yet).

I don't think that 2.7 will meet the original planned release time "approximately in May", and it might be June when 2.7 is released.

The planned changes are very important, too important to add something else in the version 2.7.
However, your idea sound good. They was confident : "Only some thousands of bricks, and it will look like something !"
More a community is little, more the "others will do it" way to think is dangerous for it. |
