It's bad idea to load GIF images. GIF is 8bit only. I'd prefer tiled PNG's: http://habrahabr.ru/blogs/css/119721/

Tiled png is a good known animation technique.

P.S. I see many things from Red Eclipse including weapon, headshots, icons but not from CoD. Also, CoD aiming technique is not suitable for fast AC's gameplay.
Perks are useless for AC's gameplay. You may include perks for weak players (e.g. his ratio less than 1), that helps newbies to survive, but don't give perks to pros.

If you want to include CoD stuff, you must change gameplay: bigger maps (AC's engine not optimized for), slow players motion. AC's maps are small, and it has fast, simple gameplay, this is why I love AC. Cube 2 much faster, so I dislike it.

Yes, I seen. Just for fun, not for play. I love original maps.

Decide: you wants CoD gameplay or AC? Today it's none of the above.
I like in ACR:
- realistic nades
- headshots (much closer to Counter Strike)
- flags helpers
- bots in multiplayer
- killstreaks
- chat messages (remove bots from chat!)

IMHO:
CoD aiming is useless in fast gamepley (while you aiming you have eat a bulletSmile
perks are useless
sniper sucks
shotgun is too poor (much bugs)
shotgun useless due to headshotsSmile

I think it's a copyright violation. You can not so simply use in game design of real weapons or weapons from other games without a permit.

We can legally use the design of real weapons, if we make it from scratch, or take models that the owner allows use of.

I'll probably make the shotgun headshot, if and only if most of the shots are hitting the head. If you think of a better implementation, please tell me.

Shotgun has big spread, so I think headshots will never happen.
You'd better check shotgun reloading: it's laggy.
Shotgun should start reloading automatically after some time like shotgun in Red Eclipce.
Also your shotgun very weak in comparison with other weapon.

Shotguns don't usually have 7 shots .... Just make it a normal 1 shot shotgun with a faster reload , and total damage being around 150 ish.

Shotgun in Counter Strike has the same behaviour - but it is too weak

The M1014 has a tube magazine of 6, plus one for the chamber.

I'll probably lower the damage/range, then make the reload a bit faster

By the way, RPG, the bots can't chat...
