RE: 2.5.8 Changelog
What about a flashlight like the one in Halflife/CS? So mappers could create darker maps without having to care if they are playable. Well, I think it could become more complicated as it probably has to be implemented as a moving light source so other players will see ittoo.
Maybe a "Nightvision" Perk as an alternative? There you would not have to deal with other players, you just will get a brighter image.
Just an idea.

RE: 2.5.8 Changelog
This engine doesn't have a very good lighting system. However, we can just use /gamma to get a brighter image. Or maybe /fullbright should be unlocked.

Maybe something like this?
I just replaced the scope.png with a piece of "10-minute-work" and it looks better than I thought...But I dont exactly know how to make the image of the client brighter and to add contrast. Must be something in the final rendering, I think??
I still think a nightvision perk would be nice.

You can adjust /gamma to make it brighter.

RE: 2.5.8 Changelog
The damage for nades has been fixed in the latest svn commit and I think automatic weapons have alright damage(I at least have not seen anyone complain about it).

I can commit recreation and then what is there left to do to release the next version?

EDIT: acr_recreation is now committed to the repository. There's only the waiting for protocol bump changes left now I believe.
EDIT2: I also added the ability to manually set teams in a vote. I have tested it fully on linux and it causes no problems others might want to test it also though.

RE: 2.5.8 Changelog
I'll have time next week to release the next version. It will most likely be done before the end of the month, June 30, 2013.

RE: 2.5.8 Changelog
excuse me,can i give some suggestions?
1.in AC 2.5.7 there's a bug on ac_douze map when i playing in hunt-the-flag mode with 16 bots.the bug causing fatal error.i guess in 2.5.8 that bug is repaired Sad
2.some new weapons is a good idea (such as MP7(for replacing MP5),remodelled USP,glock 18(with burst mode),Colt Phyton revolver,AK-12(For replacing AK-47),FN SCAR/XM8(For replacing M16A3)
That's all.

RE: 2.5.8 Changelog
1. Could you post a bug report on the issue tracker( https://code.google.com/p/assaultcuber/issues/list ) with some more information like when the crash happens, os, and any information on the crash?

2. I'm not sure why we would need to replace weapons instead of add new ones.
